The capital of Värmland, Karlstad, and several other towns in the county, lie on the E18 European Motorway that links Oslo in Norway with St. Petersburg in Russia via Stockholm. It takes just three hours by car to reach Gothenburg, Stockholm or Oslo.
by boat - Harbours
Värmland is on the northern shore of Sweden’s largest lake, Lake Vänern. Goods are sent to and from the entire world from the harbour in Karlstad and Kristinehamn.
